Much singing before supper on Friday, May 2nd in Tempe, as I spend a day whose agenda has the title, “Preparing a Community of Scholars”:

—a breakfast talk, “University Service: The History of an Idea”

—a keynote address to the Preparing Future Faculty Program, “The Academic Job Market: An Ecological Introduction”

—and an afternoon forum on “The Future of the Humanities.”

I’ve never tried Red Bull before, but this might be the time.
